Authenticity testing method for printed product e.g. original document, involves producing comparison characteristic and comparing comparison characteristic with coincidence characteristics that are assigned to printed product
The method involves detecting a signature that is assigned to a printed product (1). The signature is transferred into characteristic values by decoding. A comparison characteristic is produced from the characteristic values. The produced comparison characteristic is compared with the coincidence characteristics assigned to the printed product, where the coincidence characteristic is a primary coincidence characteristics formed during printing process, printing improving process or printing after treatment process. An independent claim is also included for a printed product comprising a sticky surface.
