The method involves dividing a model structure (M) of a technical system (1) into an outer macrostructure (MA) and an inner microstructure. System components (1.1-1.n) e.g. batteries, are networked together and attached accurately to a model level (M1-Mm) in the outer macrostructure. System components are assigned to model classes in the inner microstructure. The model levels are connected together via interfaces and the system components of the corresponding model classes are assigned as vectorial parameters. An independent claim is also included for a device for simulation of a system based on a model structure.
