The gasket has a layer (1) provided with a through opening (2), where the through opening receives an elastically ductile profile body (3) formed as a circular profile wire with defined material thickness. Overall height of the undeformed profile body exceeds the thickness of the layer. The layer has a material thickening portion (7) formed in a region of the profile body and/or outside of the profile body, where the thickening portion is formed by a coating consisting of polymer such as thermoplastic or duroplastic material. The layer is made of metal such as aluminum or aluminum alloy.
