The miter saw has a blade hood (9), in which a suction unit (11) is fitted between the blade mounting (3) and shaft (7). A sawdust trap (12) is mounted below the blade and can swivel to a position where it partially overlaps the blade. It swivels about a shaft (15) which is parallel to the blade shaft, but spaced from it.
