Process for positioning robot guided tool, especially tool for sealing seam region of vehicle body useful in automated vehicle technology is quicker and more cost effective than previous automatic tool positioning devices
Process for positioning a robot guided tool (12), especially a tool for sealing a seam region of a vehicle body involving:guideing the tool via the robot to a predetermined reference point (50), and if the reference point fails to correspond to the required pre-defined position on the vehicle body part (52), the tool is post-positioned by means of a decoupling element which can move at least in the spatial direction (sic). An independent claim is included for a decoupling element for positioning a robot guided tool.
