The structural element comprises a ballistic sheet of a steel alloy or layers of different steel alloys or metal. The ballistic sheet is three-dimensionally formed in one piece in a process of hot forming by reheating treatment and then hardened in a vacuum furnace. In the sheet or multilayer sheet, one of the layers has a hardness of 56 hrc. The structural element forms an interior armoring of a vehicle with a non-ballistic shell or is provided for an interior armor. The structural part is shaped in a contour of the shell. The hardened ballistic sheet has a thickness of 8-11 mm. The structural element comprises a ballistic sheet of a steel alloy or layers of different steel alloys or metal. The ballistic sheet is three-dimensionally formed in one piece in a process of hot forming by reheating treatment and then hardened in a vacuum furnace. In the sheet or multilayer sheet, one of the layers has a hardness of 56 hrc. The structural element forms an interior armoring of a vehicle with a non-ballistic shell or is provided for an interior armor. The structural part is a shaped in a contour of the shell. The hardened ballistic sheet has a thickness of 8-11 mm. The projectile is not perpendicular in a shelling but under an inclination of 10[deg] . The structural element comprises a first layer with a hardness of 60 hrc and a thickness of 3 mm and a second layer with a hardness of less than 58 hrc and a thickness of 3 mm. Independent claims are included for: (1) conversion kit for retrofitting armoring automobiles; and (2) a method for producing a structural element for an armored vehicle.
