Fuel injection device for internal combustion engine, has guide sleeve with guide- and/or center region deformed by prestressing force such that desired guide tolerance is adjusted between valve element and guide- and/or center region
The device (1) has an injection valve element (5) i.e. nozzle needle, held in a housing (2) and moved back and forth in a longitudinal direction. A guide sleeve (20) is prestressed by an axial prestressing force against a cone section (10) tapered to a combustion chamber. The sleeve has a guide- and/or center region spaced at a distance from the valve element in a radial direction. The guide- and/or center region is elastically deformed by the force such that desired guide tolerance is adjusted between the valve element and the region. The sleeve is made by power metallurgy and from plastic.
