Positioning device for moving and aligning mounting platform, has drive arrangement driving mounting platform with respect to base platform such that translatory degrees of freedom of mounting platform are defined by drive arrangement
The device (10) has a mounting platform (7) positioned and movably supported and spaced from a base platform (1). Contact points are positioned such that longitudinal axes of three linear thrust-synchronization units (2) are aligned parallel to each other. The units are coupled one below the other such that variable lengths of the units are maintained as same. The mounting platform is driven by a drive arrangement (5) with respect to the base platform such that three translatory degrees of freedom of the mounting platform are defined by the drive arrangement regarding the base platform. An independent claim is also included for a method for positioning an object.
