Female mold for use in aircraft part i.e. glider body, has partial molds, where each mold is made of paper honeycombs that are laid over pair of shape-suitable supports such that molds form female half shell
The mold has a set of partial molds (7-9) that are connected together, where each partial mold is made of paper honeycombs that are laid over a pair of shape-suitable supports (2) such that the partial molds form a female half shell. Projection of the partial molds is flat, and the honeycombs are not milled. The projection has a curved surface, and a laminar paper honeycomb block is processed over milled templates by a surface milling cutter or computer numerical control (CNC) milling machine.
