The method involves providing radiation sources i.e. semiconductor laser, inter band cascade laser and quantum cascade laser. One of the radiation sources (4) for wanted signals is selected at its spectral emission, such that radiations of the selected source lies in an absorption range of molecules in molecular gas, and radiations of other radiation sources (5) for zero signals lies outside of the absorption range. The sources are operated sequentially or simultaneously in different frequency ranges, and the radiations through the gas are detected by a detector (8).
