The method involves providing a complete specification model (3) of the field devices or a field device type in a transformation phase on the basis of a device description (GS1,GS2) which describes the field device or the field device type in its functionality. An independent claim is included for a device for executing a method for integrating field device of automation technique in higher control structures or in target applications.
