The tool has a piston (14) reciprocating axially between a starting position and an end position. A volume (26) is pressure-lessly controllable by a pressure relief line of a housing (1), in the end position of the piston. Another volume is provided between the piston and a tool (16) with the pressure fluid for resetting of the piston in the starting position. An axial stop (12) defining the starting position and/or the distance of the tool from the stop is axially and adjustably formed for changing impact speed of the piston on the tool.
