The strategy for the control of injection of lubricating oil at the under sides of the pistons, in an internal combustion motor, initially verifies if the actual oil pressure (4) exceeds a calibrated threshold value (6) and if the motor start and running phases are concluded for these two conditions to be negated. The actual oil temperature (14) is verified if it lies below a calibrated threshold value (16). At least the three conditions taken in an AND logic (2). The oil injection jets, based on a backing characteristic field (9), are activated according to the motor rotary speed (11) and loading (12) where the connection of the field output signal (15) is through an OR link (17) with the third condition. A fourth condition is verified if the required setting path for the cam shaft adjustment exceeds a calibrated threshold value (18). The oil injection is activated when all four conditions are satisfied.
