The motor vehicle controlling system (1) has a hybrid drive that is provided with an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. A strategy subcomponent (8) of a hybrid functional component (4) determines a desired value and transmits each desired value to a controlling subcomponent (9) of the hybrid functional component. The execution time of the control-lateral operational sequence or each selected operative functional module of a control device is supervised.
