The method involves inserting a sensor unit (3) into a housing (2), where the sensor unit has a sensor housing or a sensor carrier (31) with a pressure transducer (34) attached to the sensor housing or sensor carrier. The housing (2) and the sensor unit are fitted together in a form-fit manner. The sensor housing and/or the sensor carrier are fixed with the housing (2) along an inner wall (26) of the housing (2). Material characteristics, surface configurations and geometrical dimensions of the housing (2) and the sensor housing and/or the sensor carrier are coordinated. An independent claim is also included for a pressure sensor comprising a housing.
