The lamp (1) has a spiral-wound filament (6) arranged in a lamp receptacle (2), where the filament is provided with a dimmer cap (30). The dimmer cap is formed such that a directional reflection of light emitted by the filament takes place or the light is partially absorbed, where the light strikes on the dimmer cap. The dimmer cap is formed in cross section in the form of a circle segment, the filament is arranged outside center of a circle, and the dimmer cap is implemented with an elliptical cross section.
