Infrared testing device for testing heat reflection characteristics of material sample in automobile's passenger compartment, has controller maintaining black body at constant temperature by controlling infrared source during measurement
The device (1) has a carrier (2) with measuring plates for positioning a predefined standard body e.g. black body (3), and material samples (4, 5) to be measured. A pyrometer (6) is attached to each measuring plate, and an infrared source (7) irradiates the black body and the samples. A controller (10) is connected with the pyrometer and the infrared source for controlling measuring sequences. The controller is arranged such that the controller maintains the black body at constant temperature by controlling the infrared source during measurement. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an infrared testing device.
