A multiple phases cyclically controlled steady state free precession sequence comprises a number of at least two partial sequences (101, 102, 103) with alternating high frequency - excitation pulses (α0, α180; α90, α270). From raw data (201, 202, 203) with each partial sequence (101, 102, 103) are acquired, an intermediate image - data record (301, 302, 303) generates. From the intermediate image - data records (301, 302, 303), - a resulting image data set (500) is formed. According to the invention have the high frequency - excitation pulses are produced for different partial sequences (α0, α180; α90, α270) different from each other, the addition of phases (θ), so that in case of no partial sequence (101, 102, 103) successive high frequency - excitation pulses (α0, α180; α90, α270) does not lead to an alternating excitation. A magnetic resonance apparatus with a corresponding device controller is also stressed.
