The method involves determining vibration using an acceleration sensor (1) based on a piezoelement, where the acceleration sensor includes a wiring (2) and is placed in inside of a tube (4). Data for acceleration in two different orthogonal directions perpendicular to a pipe axis and highly integrated oscillation amplitude are obtained in real time using the acceleration sensor. The wiring is provided for data communication and is connected with a data evaluation circuit (7). An independent claim is also included for a device for vibration measurement.
