Traffic route section representing method for e.g. motor vehicle navigation system, involves representing route section as Bezier curve from start point to end point, and representing determined control points as control points of curve
The method involves determining two control points (K2, K3) provided between a start point (A) and an end point (C) at a line (6) that is parallel to a straight connection (3) between the start point and the end point, where the parallel line passes through a support point (B). A traffic route section is represented as a Bezier curve (7) from the start point to the end point, where the points are represented as two control points (K1, K4) of the curve, and the determined control points (K2, K3) are represented as other control points of the curve. An independent claim is also included for a device for representing a traffic route section in a map representation with a display device for the map representation.
