Point of sale system for determining total price paid from customer, has comparison unit to compare prices per unit of goods bought by customer in sales procedure and/or total price
The system (1) has a cash register (10) determining prices per unit of goods selected by a customer for a purchase. An extraction unit (34) is designed to extract an element from a group of information stored in a data storage unit (32). An interface (40) to a rendering unit (14, 16, 52, 54) is provided to render the element that is extracted by the extraction unit, for a perception by a customer. A comparison unit (18) is provided to compare prices per unit of goods bought by a customer in a sales procedure and/or the total price. An independent claim is also included for a method for determination a total price, which is to be paid from a customer in a sales procedure.
