An eco-friendly nanocomposite coating composition using nanoclay is provided to obtain a building interior material having non-toxicity, fast drying characteristics, antibacterial property, anti-fungal property, flame resistance, and low temperature and high temperature resistance. An eco-friendly nanocomposite coating composition for a building interior material comprises: 20-50 wt% of solution type nanoclay selected from the layered silicate clay group consisting of bentonite, hectorite, saponite and montmorillonite (5-15 wt% of layered silicate nanoclay powder); 20-40 wt% of calcium carbonate or zinc oxide as a filler; 20-50 wt% of a binder selected from the group consisting of acrylic, urethane, acrylic-urethane and latex binders; 5-15 wt% of aluminum silicate of TiO2 as a masking agent; and 1-10 wt% of a fast drying agent comprising organometallic soap.
