PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a bed based on multimodal interface and a method for the same are provided, which can recognize control command exactly by overcoming performance degradation of the voice recognition in the noise environment.;CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a bed based on multimodal interface comprises a first step(S210) to obtain voice recognition data through the end point detection of an acoustic signal according to the audio of a user; a second step(S220) to acquire lip-reading recognition date by detecting the action of the lip region based on the video signal according to the image of a use; a third step(S230) to synchronize the utterance section of voice recognition data and utterance section of reading recognition date; a fourth stage(S240) to produce the final recognition result based on synchronized voice recognition data and reading recognition date; and a fifth step(S250) to control the slope bed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
