A gene of alanine glyoxylate aminotransferase which is derived from Vigna radiate is provided to produce a plant body of stress resistance. An alanine glyoxylate aminotransferase (Mlti26) has the amino acid sequence of the sequence number 1. A gene which encodes the alanine glyoxylate aminotransferase has sequence of the sequence number 2. The gene is induced by oxidative stress such as low temperature, bittern, and abscisic acid (ABA) hormone. A plant of oxidative stress-resistance is obtained by transforming the gene with a recombinant vector. The plant is tobacco, rice plant, barley, mill, bean, sesame, tub, transfer, buckwheat, arabidopsis thaliana, capsicum annuum, potatoes, phaseoli radiati Semen, or ginseng. A method for manufacturing the alanine glyoxylate aminotransferase comprises: a step of culturing transformed strain; and a step of collecting the alanine glyoxylate aminotransferase.
