A cradle device for firearms is provided to damp the strong percussion impact effectively by comprising an MR damper. A cradle device for firearms comprises a cradle(30) and an impact absorbing unit. The cradle supports the whole body(12) of a firearm so as to be moved forward and backward as much as a predetermined width. The impact absorbing unit is interposed between the whole body of the firearm and the cradle to absorb the percussion impact of the firearm by using the impact damping action. The impact absorbing unit comprises a cylinder(42), the magneto-rheological fluid, a magnetic coil, a piston valve, a piston rod(44) and a recoil spring.
