The invention relates to producing magnetic fluids and synthesis of new nanomaterials in vacuum. Is disclosed a method of producing nanoparticles for magnetic fluids by electron-beam evaporation and condensation in vacuum, which consists in evaporation of solid initial material and fixing nanoparticles of the material at condensation of its vapors at a cooled substrate by carrier, which is hardened on the substrate. As initial material solid inorganic magnetic material is used which is selected from the group, which includes metals, alloys and their oxides. As carrier, fixing nanoparticles of magnetic material, solid soluble in liquid material is used. The composition of initial material and carrier by electron-beam evaporation is simultaneously evaporated, where concentration of the carrier is from 99 to 70 % of the composition, the vapors are precipitated on the substrate, temperature of which is set and maintained at a certain value below melting point of the carrier material, and thus a condensate of nanoparticles of magnetic material of specified size fixed in solid carrier is produced. The size of nanoparticles is adjusted by setting a certain temperature of substrate at vapor precipitation. As a carrier for fixing nanoparticles of magnetic material a solid inorganic material is used which is soluble in liquid and selected from the group, which includes salt alkali, alkaline earth metal and their mixtures. The nanoparticles are extracted from the condensate by dissolving thereof, at least in one liquid and they are stabilized by surface-active substance dissolved in liquid. Is also disclosed a method of producing a magnetic liquid, which contains nanoparticles of magnetic material of set size, in which it is produced by dissolving at least in one liquid of the condensate of nanoparticles of magnetic material of set size fixed in solid carrier, which are produced by simultaneous electron-beam evaporation with subsequent precipitation on the substrate, temperature of which is set and maintained at a certain value below melting point of carrier material, of composition of solid inorganic magnetic material selected from the group containing salts of alkali, alkaline earth metals and their mixtures, and stabilization of nanoparticles in liquid by surface-active substance dissolved in it.
