Outboard engine for attaching to folding stern of vessel i.e. ship, has engine nacelle suspended between two shafts, where nacelle includes propeller that is mounted such that propeller protrudes behind shafts
The engine (1) has electronics housed in an upper part (2) with a tiller (3), and two elongated vertical down-parallel shafts (4) attached to the tiller, where the parallel shafts serve as a rudder. The shafts are mounted at some distance from each other, where the thickness of the shafts is approximately 10 percent of the width in the running direction. An engine nacelle (5) is suspended between the two shafts, where the nacelle includes a propeller (6) that is mounted such that the propeller protrudes behind the shafts.
