The invention relates to a method and mechanism for the development of thrust via a system of asymmetric condensers resulted from an ensemble of metal elements 3 asymmetrically placed into a strong insulating dielectric 1 encountered into a zero potential metal casing 2. Constant high voltage is applied between the internal metal elements 3 and the casing 2. The metal casing 2 is a shell formed by two horizontally parallel metal elements the extremities of which adjoin lateral elements closing the shell. The metal high-voltage elements 3 have smooth surface for preventing the excessof intensity at the created electric field and form either a wavy surface at the one side and flat surface at the other, or flat rods with curved ends, or circular section conductors. The insulating dielectric1 can be either pressurized insulating gas, or insulating liquid, or insulating solid as well. As to an embodiment, if insulating solid is in use, this can be of plastic the casting moulds of whichhave incorporated metal elements 3, while the casing 2 results from metal apposition on the plastic dielectric 1. According to another embodiment, the metal elements 3 result from metal apposition onthe dividable elements 1a, 1b acting as strong dielectrics and forming a wavy film 3.1 on the 1a and a planar film 3,2 on the 1,b respectively. All the remainder of the elements 1a, 1b, excepting flat surfaces, are covered by metal apposition. The elements 1a, 1b are united with insulating glue at the extension of the flat surfaces 8. The proposed mechanism can be used as a mechanism for generating thrust or work.
