PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consistency checking method capable of checking the consistency of data in a short period of time for an existing resident registry system linked with a municipal system, and of confirming a history of updates of inconsistent data. PSOLUTION: In a system for linking a municipal system with a computerized existing resident registry system for a resident registry network system, the time and date of each data update are stored as a time stamp. A data update period is designated arbitrarily. Resident information for which data are updated during that period is extracted according to the time stamp. Only for the resident information that was updated during the designated period, the consistency between the municipal system and the computerized existing resident registry system is checked.
