PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve communication load on a computer terminal in the case of executing image communication from the computer terminal by using a telephone line and to realize pleasant facsimile communication by eliminating mismatching of a communication protocol. SOLUTION: A floppy disk 110 is inserted to a computer terminal 100 to form a data transfer interface among peripheral devices. Then the computer terminal 100 transfers required data to a facsimile terminal 120 via this interface and a data transfer cable 104, and this facsimile machine 120 conducts all transmission operations on behalf of the computer terminal 100 and returns the result of transmission to the computer terminal 100.
