PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method of a forming raw material, which improves a ductibility of a portion welded in advance of a high-strength steel plate as a target workpiece, and then enhances a forming limit, and also to provide and a laser welding apparatus, a forming raw material obtained by the method, and a forming method and a formed article by using the forming raw material. PSOLUTION: A plurality of high-strength plates are overlapped or butted with each other, and are welded. Then, only the welded portion is locally reheated, or the second welding is applied to the vicinity of the first welding. It is preferable that the reheating or the second welding is made by using a laser or a laser welding. This method is preferably applied with the laser welding apparatus of the present invention. The forming raw material obtained by the welding method is improved in a forming limit, and is formed without a breakage, even in the case where a welding part would be broken during forming with a forming method using a conventional forming raw material.
