PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decayed teeth detector and a decayed teeth detection program for realizing it which achieve the highly sensitive and accurate detection of the initial decayed teeth along with the detection of the degree of progress thereof. PSOLUTION: The decayed teeth detection system 1 is provided with an ultraviolet ray irradiator 2, a fluorescence detector 3, a fluorescence data analysis part 4 and a display device 5. The fluorescence data analysis part 4 has an internal memory 16 in which are stored extraction reference values MSB1/SB, MSB2/SBand MSB3/SBserving as references when the fluorescence data are extracted in each of the regions equivalent to the wavelength of the visible light divided by 3. The extraction fluorescence data PSB1/SB, PSB2/SBand PSB3/SBcorresponding to the extraction reference values MSB1/SB, MSB2/SBand MSB3/SBare extracted from the fluorescence data. One or two or more of the fluorescence data selected are computed to judge the decayed teeth based on the results of the computation. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
