PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seismically reinforce an existing cylindrical container structure by a simple structure, economically, and in a manner consuming less manpower.;SOLUTION: In seismically reinforcing the cylindrical container structure, prestress introducing devices 11 each formed of prestressing bars 22, 23 are arranged on a side wall peripheral surface of the cylindrical container structure, and a filler 12 is placed on the side wall peripheral surface of the cylindrical container structure 2 so as to cover at least the prestressing bars 22, 23. After hardening of the filler 12, prestress is introduced to the filler 12 by the prestress introducing devices 11. Alternatively a precast concrete slab may be arranged so as to cover the side wall peripheral surface of the cylindrical container structure, and therefore prestress may be introduced to the precast concrete slab by the prestress introducing devices 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
