PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peach twig borer communication-disturbing agent which exhibits an extremely high and complete attraction-inhibiting effect until the harvest of peaches or the like and can control the peach twig borer, even when an insecticide is not scattered, and to provide a method for disturbing the communication with the same.;SOLUTION: This peach twig borer communication-disturbing agent comprises 5-decenyl acetate having an E/Z ratio of 65/35 to 100/0 and 5-decen-1-ol having an E/Z ratio of 65/35 to 100/0, wherein the 5-decen-1-ol is contained in an amount of ≤10 wt. % based on the total amount of the 5-decenyl acetate and the 5-decen-1-ol.
