PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber-reinforced composite material having a high level of gas barrier properties, particularly hydrogen gas barrier property.;SOLUTION: There are provided a carbon fiber-reinforced prepreg comprising a sheet-shaped carbon fiber reinforcing material and a matrix resin, wherein the carbon fiber-reinforced prepreg comprises a gas barrier layer, in which a clay mineral having a plate-like crystal structure is unidirectionally aligned and densely stacked, provided within the prepreg, and a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic produced from the carbon fiber-reinforced prepreg. The prepreg is produced, for example, by placing a film having gas barrier properties, in which a clay mineral having a plate-like crystal structure is unidirectionally aligned and densely stacked, in at least one interlayer part in a laminate of a carbon fiber-reinforced prepreg comprising a sheet-shaped carbon fiber reinforcing material and a matrix resin and then heating and/or pressing the laminate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
