PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methanol synthesis catalyst capable of maintaining active metals in a highly dispersed state by stably supporting fine particles of the active metals while finely pulverizing and highly dispersing the active metals in the catalyst, and a method of manufacturing the same.;SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing methanol synthesis catalyst includes the steps of emulsifying an aqueous solution prepared by dissolving active metal compounds containing catalytic metals with water using a surfactant in an organic solvent; mixing an active metal dispersion liquid, in which an aqueous micelle of the active metal compounds is formed, with metal alkoxide; and hydrolyzing the metal alkoxide in a mixed liquor of the active metal dispersion liquid and the metal alkoxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
