PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely predict the yield stress and the elastic modulus of a material to be straightened in hot roller-straightening.;SOLUTION: The warp and the undulation of the material to be straightened are flattened by letting the material pass between rolls of a roller leveler, in which a plurality of rolls are arranged in a vertically zigzag pattern, and repeatedly applying hot-bending to the material. Further, in the hot roller-straightening that gives a desired warp or undulation to a material to be straightened, the yield stress and the elastic modulus of the material are made to be a function of an arbitrary parameter, the parameter is estimated from the set position of each roll of a roller leveler and the straightening load in roller-straightening, and, by this estimated parameter, the yield stress and the elastic modulus of the material to be straightened are estimated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
