PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of analyzing the torsional vibration of a power transmission system by computing an absolute damping coefficient of a cylinder part and a relative damping coefficient between cylinders as values corresponding to a real engine so as to be reflected in a torsional vibration analysis of the power transmission system, and to provide an analyzing device, an analyzing program and a shafting device between the engine and a driven device. PSOLUTION: A system from the engine to the driven device is modeled into an inertial mass-spring system. The total damping energy, which is the vibration generating energy, balancing the vibration generating energy with the damping energy at a plurality of sets of resonance points of natural modes/frequencies is computed from a measured damping ratio and computed mode mass. The total damping energy is expressed as the sum of engine side absolute damping energy, relative damping energy and damping energy of an attachment on the driven device/shafting system. Engine absolute damping coefficients and a plurality of equations on the engine absolute damping coefficients are created from the measured results of the plurality of resonance points, and a plurality of simultaneous equations are solved to determine the engine absolute damping coefficient and engine relative damping coefficient.
