PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting design supporting system for supporting planting design work for performing planting through utilizing the ambient surrounding of an objective planting area so as to be expected to save energy.;SOLUTION: The planting design supporting system is provided with: a topographic map data input means which reads in map data including the topographic data around the objective planting area; an effect factor input means which specifies an effect factor area having effects on the objective planting area; an environmental utilization area determining means which detects and determines the environmental utilization area based on the information of the effect factor area specified by the effect factor input means; and a planting design means which detects an orientation and a planting amount to be planted on the objective planting area from the positioning information of the effect factor area in the environmental utilization area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
