PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of bonding an IPN gel to an adherend with such a high strength as to be endurable even when being arranged in an environment where various kinds of stresses (tensile stress, compressive stress, shear stress and the like) are continuously applied as in the application such as artificial cartilage.;SOLUTION: The composite material formed by directly bonding the interpenetrating network structure (IPN) gel to the rough surface of the adherend is composed of: the IPN gel containing a first network structure and a second network structure; and the adherend having a rough surface formed on at least a part of the surface of the adherend, wherein the first network structure comprises a first part 1(1) constructed on the rough surface of the adherend and a second part 1(2) which is separated from the first part 1(1) and is mounted on the first part 1(1), and the second network structure is continuously constructed over both gaps in the first part 1(1) and the second part 1(2) of the first network structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
