PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barnacle detection system for detecting efficiently a larva in an adhesion period of barnacles. PSOLUTION: A plankton concentrator 2 includes a water introduction port 12 for introducing water containing plankton, a net 14 for collecting the plankton by filtering the introduced water, a fountain device 16 for washing away the plankton adhering to the net by discharging water into the net from the back side on the collection side, a water discharge port 20 for discharging the water through which the plankton is filtered and the water discharged from the fountain device, a concentrated sample storage tank 17 for collecting and concentrating the plankton washed away, and a plankton discharge port 18 for discharging the collected plankton. A barnacle detection device 3 includes a detection cell 40 for storing the water containing the plankton, an excitation light irradiation device 42 for irradiating excitation light for allowing light emission from barnacle larvae, a ccd camera 44 for photographing the barnacle larvae emitting light, and a data processing device for analyzing an image photographed by the ccd camera.
