PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fabricating functionalized nanostructures made of single (or promising) molecules on Si(111)-7×7 surfaces.;SOLUTION: Functionalized single (or promising) molecules arrays on Si(111)-7×7 surfaces can be fabricated via the following steps. (1) Al nanocluster arrays are formed on Si(111)-7×7 surfaces; and (2) single molecules (or promising molecules) such as phthalocyanine and fullerene are deposited on the above Al nanocluster (as a template) arrays by thermal evaporators.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
