PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To leave a multifunction printer which includes multiple functions while efficiently processing jobs when multifunction printers connected to a network is made to perform distributed processing of jobs. PSOLUTION: When an affirmative decision is made in a step S160 of an occupation request sending-out routine (namely, when distributed processing of a job is necessary), second and succeeding MFPs are selected out of MFPs to perform the distributed processing of the job based upon the occupation state of devices of the MFPs which are obtained through the network. Specifically, an MFP wherein one of devices other than devices needed for processing in steps S220 to S250 is occupied is preferentially selected out of MFPs wherein the devices needed to perform the distributed processing of the job are not occupied.
