Memory e.g. ROM, consumption controlling method for e.g. still camera, involves evaluating request implementing evaluation mode according to result of analysis when request dose not drives overflow
The method involves analyzing a request for detecting whether the request drives buffer memory overflow during evaluation of the request on a hierarchized document, using a ROM, a CPU and a RAM. The request implementing an evaluation mode e.g. evaluation mode with loss, is evaluated when the request drives the overflow. The request implementing another evaluation mode e.g. evaluation mode without loss, is evaluated according to the result of the analysis using an evaluation unit, when the request dose not drives the overflow. One mode utilizes less memory than another mode. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling a memory consumption during the evaluation of a request on a hierarchized document (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a memory consumption controlling method (3) an information medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a memory consumption controlling method.
