摘要

The method involves providing two weighting windows of distinct lengths, and using a short window for coding a frame in which a specific event e.g. attack, has to be detected. The specific event in a current frame is detected for coding the current frame. The short window is applied in order to code the current frame, when the event is detected at the start of the current frame. A long window is applied to code the current frame, when the event is not detected in the current frame. Detecting and applying operations are repeated for a following frame. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an coder comprising a detection module (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for coding/decoding of a digital audio signal (3) a decoder comprising a memory.
