The method involves capturing a Gaussian signal of a neutron flow by a sensor in impulse mode, and performing a transformation of a stabilization and gaussianisation of signal of a neutron flow by using an anscombe transform. The gaussian-transformed signal is filtered using a kalman filter. The inverse transformation of stabilization and gaussianisation of a filtered signal is performed, where the average and variance of the signal are greater than or equal to four. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing a signal representing a neutron flow comprising a sensor for capturing a signal representing a noisy temporal neutron flow.
