The engine (2) has combustion chambers (14-20) that are cylindrical and has parallel axes (22-28). Sensors (52-56) capture characteristic parameter, e.g. perimeter in correlation with an inner pressure of one of the combustion chamber, for evolution of combustion, where the sensors are strain gauge and piezo-ceramic sensor. The sensors are installed in a range (64) of the internal combustion engine between neighboring chambers (14- 20).
