The device has arm segments (21, 22) forming a deployable element connected to a part of a blind via an end of the element. A cross piece (6) is provided at another end of the element to maintain an end of the blind fabric (10). A lighting device (30) with lighting elements (30', 31) e.g. LEDs, is installed on an internal face of the segments. The device (30) is in a form of a deployable unit to form a structural unit with the deployable element, such that the device (30) is simultaneously retracted when the deployable element is retracted from an unfolded position towards a folded position.
