Geometric modeling assisting method for e.g. nacelle of aircraft, involves extracting data from specific model according to parameter of generic model, and constructing instantiate model from generic model and extracted data
The method involves acquiring a generic model (210) e.g. dynamic model, of a three dimensional object and a specific model (200) e.g. static model, of another three dimensional object. The data is extracted from the specific model according to a parameter of the generic model. An instantiate model (220) of the former object is constructed from the generic model and the extracted data e.g. curved portion, where the curved portion is the intersection of the latter object with a predetermined plane. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device comprising a unit for implementing a geometric modeling assisting method (2) a computer program comprising instructions for implementing a geometric modeling assisting method.
