Spinal osteosynthesis system for connecting bone portions of vertebral body, has driving unit to rotate head between two positions, where head has lateral faces locked on respective lateral faces of hole when head is in one of positions
The system has a fastening screw (20) implanted in a bone part of a vertebral body and cooperating with a connection element e.g. plate. The screw has a shoulder head (24) integrated at an end of a bony screw stem (21). A driving unit (30) rotates the head around an oblong axis (19) between two positions when the head is located in a through hole of the element. Length of the head and width of the hole are parallel when the head is in one of the positions. The head has opposite lateral faces (29) locked on respective opposite lateral faces of the hole when the head in the other position.
